Our Medical English Web Developer's involvement in the project reached new heights of dedication this weekend. He personally visited the casualty department at the local hospital, moaning in pain and hopping on one foot.

Having ignored an annoying pain in his foot, he woke to find a large swelling around his ankle and felt a searing pain when he leapt out of bed in the morning.

Much to his dismay, he found that the pain was interfering with his concentration and was even unable to work on his computer.

Assisted by our helpful cartoonist, he was driven to the hospital where he was told, "If you don't stay off it completely for one week, you will find yourself in one of our beds!" Apparently he had strained a tendon, which had then become inflamed because he had not given it rest.

The moral of this story seems to be:

'A days rest in time saves nine!'
