In the following dialogue a nurse welcomes a patient to a hospital.
Note how the nurse greets the patient in a warm and friendly way, introduces herself and offers her services to the patient: "Morning, welcome to our ward. I’m Nurse Ordóñez - can I help you?"
The patient explains why she is in the ward: "I've come for my operation." Then the nurse asks for her appointment letter.
After some 'small talk' (casual discussion) the nurse asks the patient to “take a seat” (sit down) and to help the nurse with some details. The patient is very willing and happy to help.
